LNER Class D32, 4-4-0 Fast Intermediate Mixed Traffic Loco |
|||||||||||||
PROTOTYPE. Twelve of these intermediate mixed traffic engines were built in 1906 to work the considerable amount of perishable traffic that was then being worked by 0-6-0’s. They worked throughout the North British Railway system on passenger and freight trains. They had regular workings on the Border Counties Line and as far south as Darlington. The last member of the class was withdrawn in 1951. KIT. The body and tender are mainly brass with a nickel silver chassis. A nice level of detail including cab interior is provided. There is a representation of valve gear and motion between the frames. Adjustable side play on the front bogie allows this loco to get around reasonably tight curves. |
